I haven't really read into copyright law in the United States, but generally, I very much doubt we can claim to own fanwork or characters if they are substantially similar. For the most part, World of Warcraft character art will be substantially similar to the screenshots you give me/the gear you want me to draw, so ultimately I suppose copyright rests with Blizzard Entertainment.

That (depressing) note aside, any property left in any work I draw as a commission for you will belong to you the moment you pay me: this means you can do whatever you want with it, modification etc. However, I reserve the right to have my name acknowledged if you post it anywhere, and please do not remove my signature. :) You also have the right to tell me if I can put up your work on my gallery/livejournal/etc.

To get a commission from me, contact me on my email with:
a) Whether you want it in black/white (if in b/w, whether you also want it shaded free of charge in gray markers), or color
b) Screenshots of your character (front, back, side preferably)
c) Short description of your character if applicable

Things to note about my work:
a) I hate doing backgrounds. I will do a background if you want, but depending on the complexity I'll charge extra.
b) Therefore, all commissions are really character portraits only, with maybe minimal backgrounds where necessary. See [my gallery] for examples.
c) I draw on A4 bleedproof paper.
d) I do this more or less as a hobby, so deadlines tend to be a little flexible depending on real life. I can probably get it to you in a couple of weeks for a black/white, and in a month or so maximum for a color. This is of course dependent on how many people are queued before you.
e) I like adding frills or modification to existing sets of armor. However, I am willing to draw pieces as they are in the game, if you so ish.

I am willing to redraw a piece when it is still in its black and white form once only if you are dissatisfied with it. Minor corrections are not counted in this regard. If it progresses to color and you do not like it, I will charge you only for the black and white.

A black and white piece is lineart. I'll do some gray marker shading free of charge if you want. I'll give you the 'coloring book' version (no shading) + the shaded version. Some people aren't interested in the grayshaded version, which is why I'll like to know whether you want one (save my poor C4/C6!)
